Abstract
"Writing practical reports is a requirement of many psychology courses. To the new student, it is often a difficult and daunting task and even those with some experience can encounter difficulties. The second edition of this popular text offers expanded advice and updated guidelines to students on designing and writing reports of experimental and other studies in psychology. The revised text incorporates recent changes in terminology and provides examples consistent with the latest edition of the APA publication manual. The treatment of design and statistical issues has been expanded to include consideration of issues to do with power and effect size, without sacrificing the clarity and appeal to introductory level students of the first edition. This edition includes material on the use of tables, graphs and drafting the report. Following requests from users of the previous edition, it has expanded treatment on designing and reporting experiments with more than one independent variable, and provides specific examples of how to report commonly used statistics and issues to watch out for when doing so." -- BOOK JACKET./ñ♭è
