Economics has been defined in several ways. The classical definition is that economics is the social science dealing with real wealth. Wealth, in the economy sense, is not money (which has value as generally exchangeable for real wealth), but the goods with the activities of people, and it specializes in the production, distribution, exchange, and consumption of wealth, or the material needs and desires of human beings.
