In a suburb on the outskirts of Tokyo, four teenage girls wade their way through a hot smoggy summer. When one of their neighbours is found murdered, the girls suspect the murderer is the neighbour's son. When he disappears the girls get caught up in a tempest of dangers that they could never have even imagined before.
