District attorney Nina Frost's life is shattered when her 5-year-old son Nathanial stops talking one day. It's obvious that he's been traumatised and when she finds out that the abuse has been sexual she won't rest until they find out who did it. When the police finally come through, Nina naturally attends the arraignment of the accused. Then, in front of all assembled, she shoots him dead.
