Abstract:
This volume presents a step-by-step tutorial introduction to AutoCAD, a software application for 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting. The author demonstrates the various features of AutoCAD, providing the basics according to the latest industry standards and techniques. This work introduces the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT interface, basic commands, and workflows. It builds upon the basics in order to gradually lead into more advanced features and skills, such as telling the story of designs with annotation, generating elevations, and visualizing projects in 3D. The author also covers dimensioning, external references, layouts and printing, using 3D, and more.
