Man Ray was born Emmanuel Radnitsky (or Rudnitzky) in Philadelphia, but his family shortened the name to Ray when they moved to Brooklyn. Ray went to work in a graphic studio to support him, studying art at night school. A must-have book for art lovers and particularly fans of Man Ray.
